Cranks Cafe is located at The Bicycle Exchange and set against the stunning backdrop of the South Downs. We’re more than just a cycle café – we’re a laid-back hub for anyone who loves the outdoors, good food, and great company.

With direct access to local footpaths and bridleways, Cranks Cafe is a natural meeting point for trail runners, mountain bikers, horse riders, hikers, dog walkers, and anyone who enjoys fresh air and open space. Whether you’re stopping by mid-adventure or settling in after a big day out, you’ll feel right at home.

We’re famous for our epic range of toasties and home-baked brownies and blondies, all best enjoyed with one of our quality coffees. Fancy something colder? We also stock a carefully chosen selection of locally produced beers and cider.

Community is at the heart of what we do. We organise regular trail runs, bike rides, and horse rides that everyone’s welcome to join, and we also offer on-site e-bike rental for those keen to explore the Downs with a little extra boost.

Inside, you’ll find plenty to keep you hanging around: a book swap, board games, table football, an axe-throwing board, and a large screen TV showing TNT Sports. Outside, there’s relaxed seating with countryside views that’s hard to beat.

With indoor and outdoor seating, free parking, and dogs more than welcome, Cranks Café is a place to refuel, reconnect, and unwind – whether you arrive on two wheels, four legs, or muddy boots.
